Vertical adventure overlooking the Mallos de Riglos
Live the emotion of ascending the Pyrenees
If you are attracted to the mountain but you are not a climber or a technical climber, the Via Ferrata del Mirador de los Buitres is your perfect opportunity to live a safe and exciting vertical adventure. Located in Riglos, one of the most iconic landscapes of Aragon, this road runs through the heart of the Aragonese Pre-Pyrenees and culminates in a panoramic point with spectacular views of the Mallos de Riglos and the Gállego River.
Guided by professionals from Ur Pyrenees, this activity combines adrenaline, nature and self-improvement, with all the security and accompaniment that allows you to enjoy without fear. An accessible, conscious and deeply rewarding experience.
The Via Ferrata del Mirador de los Buitres is a circular route that combines vertical sections, air passages and return trails, designed to live the Pyrenees from a different perspective: in height, calm and in connection with the environment.
This is how the step-by-step experience develops:
1. Welcome and preparation in Murillo de Gállego
The adventure begins in our offices in Ur Pyrenees, where the team will explain how the activity will be and will review the necessary material. From there, you will follow the guide with your own vehicle to the starting point, in the town of Riglos, at the foot of the impressive Mallos.
2. EQUIPMENT AND APPROACH
We deliver the technical material (harness, helmet, heatsink and carabiners), revised and approved. After a short approach walk, we arrive at the beginning of the road and carry out the safety briefing, where you will learn how to move and make sure you correctly on the lifeline.
3. Ascent by Via Ferrata
Assisted climbing begins: vertical sections equipped with metallic bridges and bridges that facilitate progression even to those who do not have previous experience. During the ascent, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Gállego Valley, the Pre-Pyrenees and the flight of the griffon vultures that give the viewpoint its name. The feeling of height mixes with the tranquility of the natural environment.
4. Top and return
Once the vulture viewpoint is reached, the effort turns into astonishment. From the top, the horizon opens up on the Mallos, the river and the mountains that mark the entrance to the Aragonese Pyrenees. The return is made by a different route, with destrepe sections and, in some cases, a small controlled rappel, always with the help of the guide.
Full activity lasts about 4 hours, With moments to breathe, observe and enjoy the environment. It’s not just about getting to the top: it’s living the mountain with security, respect and shared emotion.
