The hydrospeed in the Gállego River is carried out in the spring, when the flow offers the perfect conditions for a intense and fun experience. Depending on the water level, the route can vary between two sections: from “the room” to railing (more technical) or from “Trolina” to railing (more fluid). In both cases, an hour and a half of total immersion awaits you, with a global duration of about 2h30 including preparation, briefing and transfer.
It all starts at the Ur Pyrenees facilities in Murillo de Gállego. After a reception at reception, our team will provide you with the complete technical material: hydrotrine, fins, helmet, vest and integral neoprene. The guide will explain the basic techniques of control, safety and communication in the water, and will review the characteristics of the section according to the flow of the day.
Then, we travel by vehicle to the starting point. There the action begins: you launch yourself into the water and advance at the surface level, with the body semi-submerged, feeling each movement of the current and controlling the course with the fins. From the first meters, the feeling is pure energy: the noise of water, the speed of the flow and the adrenaline of being in direct contact with the river.
Among the highlights, is the area of “El Cuarto” —powerful, with continuous waves and technical sections— and the famous Murillo wave, where you can surf with your hydrotrine under the supervision of the guide. Throughout the tour there is support from the ground in case it is necessary to adjust material or recover a fin.
The end of the descent arrives in a railing, a quiet place where the group meets before returning by vehicle to the facilities. There you can shower, rest and relive the experience with the photos or videos that capture the best moments of the day.
