Our story

Active tourism and adventure sports

UR RAFTING SLL From a commercial brand and from now on Ur Pirineos is a company dedicated to leisure and active tourism, to the promotion of adventure sports. Located in Murillo de Gállego, an area with an incredible landscape frame and under the dizzying gaze of the Mallos de Riglos, in a natural paradise for the development of whitewater adventure activities; Rafting, canyoning, hydrospeed, canoeing… and mountain sports; Via ferrata, climbing, hiking… are some of the numerous activities proposed by the company from March to October.

A story of 25 years

UR celebrates 25 years of experience, the registered trademark was created by a group of kayaker friends in the late 80s, with four canoes and a lot of desire. Gradually, four activity centers were opened in the north of Spain, including one in Murillo de Gállego. Each company is independent of the level of its management, but all are still united under the same brand: UR. If you want more information about the group, we advise you to visit the page of the UR group.

The new and current company UR Pyreneos is led by a multipurpose team of four partners. They are all professionals with proven experience and complement each other in the different business areas. The enthusiasm and passion for adventure sports encourage them every day in their commitment to local development in the rural world, to make their dream of living from the white waters of the Gállego River a reality.

a present asset

UR Pyrenees is not limited to providing a quality service endorsed by different certifications. To do this, the company proposes various types and levels of activities, but also suggestions about what surrounds the activity: meals, accommodation, cultural visits, trails to get lost in free time, etc. You will find more information in our guarantees.

An important aspect in adventure is security. For this reason, Ur Pyrenees has a Great team of professionals and uses materials and equipment in good condition of use and conservation. It has extensive and complete facilities, expanded and renovated in 2010, adapted to the proposed service.

INÉS

partner

Senior Engineer in Business Management and Organization. We don't know how he does it but he always gets to everything! He cares that we are all good and that everything is perfect. His passions: his three children, a job well done, and the great kingdom of the Mallos!!!

Olga

administrative. Customer service and manager. The engine that keeps everything going: management, coordination and a thousand other things that make UR every day work like a clock. It's the head that makes the machine work... although suddenly a grace lets you down that leaves you crying (laughing, of course). It would be when he plays, always brilliant, and with a sense of humor as fine as he is unexpected. Without it, the river would go down... but much worse.

LOULA

Administrative, customer service and reservation management. French of origin, but so in love with the Aragonese Pyrenees that he no longer left. He speaks Spanish "almost" without an accent (yes, the same changes your name) but affection and effectiveness embroiders them in any language! Always with a smile ready and ready to help you in French, English or Spanish.

REBECA

Our photographer will make you remember forever the emotion and adventure lived in our company through her fantastic photographic reports. Nominated, among others, the Goya Awards for Professional Photography and Video of a National Character Your photos will enchant www.rebecacardenasfotografia.es

SANTI

Whitewater guide, instructor SRT. Certification of professionalism of ravines, climbing and mid-mountain. Amateur and hooked on everything that is sport in nature, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, and why not? chocolate and cookies. Calm and affable, it will accompany you on your adventures, it will give you a lot of security and tranquility wherever you are.

ADOLFO

Sports technician in whitewater and trainer of future guides. Specialist in security, rescue and always find the perfect line (in the river and in life). Veteran of a thousand descents, he knows every corner of the Gállego as if he had carved it himself. But be careful, in addition to being a guide, he is the official master of the bad joke... and his greatest achievement is not an epic descent, but to have trained his young apprentice: Óscar, El Puma. If you see them together, get ready to row... and laugh.

ALDO

Whitewater guide, IRF instructor. Rescue3. Passionate about kayaking and whitewater. With extensive experience in this world, he will guide you safely, professionally and with a great smile from ear to ear that he never loses. KAYAK AND FOOTBALL ARE HIS PASSION… MAKES THE BEST ARGENTINE ROASTS AND HIS HAIR GIVES ENVY!

RICARDO

Aguas Bravas guide, trained in Brazil and Europe, a specialist in kayak and in making you feel safe from minute one. He came from Brazil with the paddle in one hand and a smile in the other. It's pure flow: calm, attentive and with that good vibes that only train after river after river. When he's not guiding, the same thing fixes a bike, which takes you by helicopter (or in his taxi), or guides you through the mountains as if it were his backyard. It's about helping you carry it in your blood...

OSCAR

Middle and Higher Degree Sports Technician in Physical-Sports Activities. IRF Class 3, Rescue SRT and Advanced. It is from the land (Huesca). He is the youngest on the team and among us we call him the Puma. It has a personal mission: to tell you a new joke every day, even if it is very bad (and it will be). But between joke and joke, one doesn't escape, and it will make you feel at home from the first minute.

ADRIÁN

Mountain and kayak sports technician. Guide to whitewater and ravine. Safety Kayak Class 3, IRF Class 3, Certificate of Professionalism in Canyoning and Rescue Training. We call him Tiger, and not just for style: he has the strength, his claw and the energy of one. There is no ravine that resists or river that stops it. It's always ready for one more downfall (even if you're already three), and on top of that it makes it fun, safe and without missing a beat.

LUCÍA

Sports technician in kayak and whitewater guide. IRF 3 and Rescue certificate. Medium grade in low and medium mountain, lifeguard in aquatic environment. She is one of the youngest of the team and an adventurer without brakes. He learns at the speed of light, is involved like no one and is the best ally to accompany families (and not so families) on descents full of good vibes and security. It lasts on the outside, soft on the inside: we call it caramelito.

DAVID

Medium-grade sports technician in physical-sports activities. Whitewater monitor, ravine guide. IRF certification. Rescue3 SRT1 and SRT2 Advanced. Companion guide to Half Mountain and guide to ravines. Snowboard TD1. He is a great sports fan in nature. It will take you with joy, patience and passion in any aquatic or non-aquatic activity.

ENEKO

Technician of sports physical activities in the natural environment. Recreational guide to Whitewater. Sports technician in whitewater canoeing, SRT instructor, ravine guide, mountain rating. Great fan of mountain racing and eating well. Everyone's friend and very professional, I'm sure it's more of a laugh because he is an expert in hesitating.

IÑIGO

GUIDE TO WATCH WATER TD2 WRITWATER. This Navarrese lives his life in his motorhome with his huge dog. His hair will make you envy and his smile will accompany you throughout the descent. It will accompany you at every moment to enjoy the river in a big way

Installations

Since our last major reform in 2011, at UR Rafting we have worked to offer spacious and modern facilities that meet the needs of our visitors. We have two well-equipped buildings: the first, of 200 m², is dedicated to the development of activities and has changing rooms with heating, hot showers, toilets and material warehouse. The second two-storey building houses our customer service office and shop on the ground floor, and a training room and offices on the upper floor. Each space is adapted to our volume of visitors, providing comfort and functionality.

In our continuous improvement, we have made progress towards a model of energy sustainability and environmental responsibility. We incorporate an improved insulation system, replace gas heaters with an efficient air heater, and add photovoltaic plates to self-supply green energy.

In addition, we have expanded our training areas with two accessible classrooms, where we teach specialized courses in canoeing, rescue and active tourism, consolidating ourselves as a national benchmark in the sector and meeting high quality standards to offer a safe and complete training experience. This renovation process reflects our commitment to active and responsible tourism, constantly evolving to always offer the best to our visitors.
